Abingdon Abbey Buildings Reopen 31st July
It is with the utmost joy that we announce the reopening of the Abbey Buildings on 31st July. At 10am the doors will open (with current Government Covid guidance in place) with free admission for all visitors.
To celebrate the long-awaited reopening there will be live music from the sublime Oxford Waits, dancing from our fantastic local Morris Dancers, free ice cream for children, excellent refreshments from Loose Cannon alongside other stalls and locally made refreshments.
There will also be a monk at the top of Checker Walk alongside some other adorned characters from the Abbey’s glory days to help guide you through the history of the buildings.
The buildings will be open from 10am-3pm. Face masks are not mandatory though for the protection of our wonderful volunteers and visitors we do ask that they are worn if possible when inside the buildings.
