In 2024, Half Cut Theatre take their loving (but concerningly sharp) hatchet to one of the seminal works of English Literature:
Chaucer’s six-hundred-yearold-snapshot-of-mediaevalsociety-in-all-its-filth-andglory, The Canterbury Tales. Packed full of laughs and loves, music and mayhem, Half Cut bring their trademark joy to this raucous journey which will delight the whole family.
ABOUT HALF CUT
Half Cut Theatre was formed in 2020 by actors James Camp, George Readshaw and Alex Wilson in direct response to the devastating impact the Covid-19 pandemic had had – and continues to have – on the live performing arts industries.
We are committed to creating theatre that is accessible, surprising and timely with plenty of heart, humour, music and narrative drive.
Since September 2020 we have staged and toured six productions: A Midsummer Night’s Dream: The Hour, The Canterbury Tales at Christmas, Twelth Night, Treasure Island, A Christmas Carol and Much Ado About
Nothing. We have played a variety of venues including theatres, parks, churches, pub gardens and schools.
