We are looking to recruit a Visual Arts Lead to help deliver creative projects as part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund-supported Abbey Buildings restoration project in Abingdon. The Abingdon Abbey Buildings Trust owns and manages the remains of the Abingdon Abbey on behalf of the community.
Are you an artist who enjoys working with communities and bringing local stories to life?
Working with local communities, schools and volunteers, you’ll help create artwork inspired by the history, stories and future of the Abbey Buildings, including a major public artwork for the project’s site hoardings during the restoration works.
We’re particularly interested in hearing from practitioners with experience of participatory, community or heritage-based arts projects.
